Anne McClendon, Treasurer, owned and operated EarthSong Farm, a small diversified organic farm in Cashmere, with her business partner Gale Bates, until the two retired from farming in 2007. In addition to selling at the Wenatchee Valley Farmers Market, EarthSong Farm offered the first CSA in the Wenatchee area. In 2005, she inspired and helped start Farmhouse Produce, a local produce market in Cashmere which later partnered with Community Farm Connection. With her background in farming and a degree in Sustainable Agriculture, she brings to the board considerable breadth of knowledge and experience related to food and farming issues in our region.
